This week is a bit different from my other blogs. We task to share our Ethical views on Environment Ethics, so here’s mine😉
Human are considered to be the most intelligent creatures on earth that is why most of us label ourselves as superiors. We don’t consider climate change as a threat, we develop technologies to make our life better without thinking that it can ruin everything in the future. We always think that we can manage all the issues in this world but look at us now.
In this world that Anthropocentrism (Man over Power) continues to be dominant, we need to be the one who believe that living and non- living things are all equal which is the Ecocentrism, (Man is Nature) including environmental systems as wholes. Every cell in your body, everything that exist in this world is nature. You are nature. We are not separated to each other, what you do to that thing is doing it to yourself. The Earth’s biodiversity and ecological integrity is being lost at an ever-increasing rate due to human impacts. If we, humans still continue to be superior and gives more importance to economical growth than the environment, then this environmental crisis also continues. I remember our discussion on Marketing Cup last week, the speaker shares her point of view about marketing, she says that in business, considering our environment always comes first than the profit. She also says that we need to stop supporting those businesses who use plastics because if there is still demand, then there will still continue to supply. I think that’s one of the ways on how to help to our environment. little things make a huge impact if all of us will do it. If we don’t all work together to save the environment, we will be equally instinct. I know everyone think that it’s hard because human as we are, we want easy and instants but we need to take an action, especially now, a lot of unexpected things happened to our world. We receive bad news almost everyday. Changing our worldview to ecocentrism however offers hope for solving the environmental crisis.

PS. I can’t share my thoughts about environment without feeling guilty because I know in myself that I am not that serious about it but doing this kind of activity is such a big help for me because I am sharing my own thoughts and learning at the same time since we don’t just use our own knowledge when it comes to writing about issues, of course we do some research and critics. Now that I have learned somethning, I should start applying it.
